Who are we?

Stafford IT Services is a local IT solutions provider geared towards the home user and small business.

We have over 15 years of experience in the IT industry across the whole range of IT Service industries.

We have experience in the service and manufacturing industries as well as the needs of the small business and home users.

We are based in the Staffordshire in the UK

We offer on-going maintenance contracts which pull on our knowledge of server and PC hardware as well as our vast experience of software installations.

We cover a ten mile radius for visits and pickups. If you live outside this area you can drop off your computer at one of the designated drop off points. Remote troubleshooting is available anywhere in the world.

It is our aim to provide outstanding customer care and service. We make this our number one priority.

Payment

For home users we require payment upon completion of a job unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices. We accept many different payment methods including cash, cheque, Google checkout and PayPal

Warranty

If we have supplied parts then we guarantee our work for 1 month unless otherwise stated when the work is completed. This warranty only applies to specific work carried out by us, not to other faults that may subsequently arise on the system.

With regard to virus or spyware infections, we guarantee the system to be infection free upon completion of a job but cannot guarantee against subsequent re-infection. We offer advice on prevention and can install appropriate preventative software but the onus is on the user to prevent or deal with future infections.

Any hardware supplied is guaranteed for the length of the manufacturers warranty. Please note it is only the hardware itself that is guaranteed not the labour cost of changing a faulty unit. The warranty of these items runs from the date of our purchase on your behalf not the date of you receiving your computer back.

This, along with the cost of any recovery of data from a faulty drive is covered under our 3 month warranty but not beyond this period.

Reconditioned equipment is guaranteed for 1 month unless otherwise stated at time of sale.

Charging basis
We will charge at the appropriate rate in the following situations where we are prevented from completing the job:
 

• the customer requests the engineer not to proceed with the work
• the customer does not have genuine software
• we provide a solution that the customer declines to accept
• the problem is beyond our control. eg: faulty phone line
• In all cases we will charge for our time up until that point.
   

Losses
Any client losses will be limited to the value of the replacement of the hardware concerned, including the labour costs of changing the hardware. This is particularly relevant where important data is held on a system. We will always try to avoid any data loss but unfortunately information can become corrupted and should be backed up by the customer.
